ScholarNext is the consulting practice of Greg Tananbaum, a strategist, coalition builder, and leader who has spent more than 30 years working to make science more rewarding, collaborative, and impactful. In addition to his advisory work, Greg is the Founder and Executive Director of the Open Research Community Accelerator (ORCA), a nonprofit that advances practical, evidence-based approaches to open science and research culture reform. He previously co-founded and led the Open Research Funders Group, a partnership of major philanthropic organizations representing approximately $12 billion in annual grantmaking, and served as Head of Secretariat for the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine's Roundtable on Aligning Incentives for Open Science. Greg co-founded the Higher Education Leadership Initiative for Open Scholarship (HELIOS), a consortium of more than 100 colleges and universities, and led strategic partnerships at Meta/Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
